Copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl etherSMP-45 is euqivalent to Basf MP-45.

Properties: Copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether has good binding property as a result of its special molecular structure in which ester bond is resistant to hydrolysis and combined chlorine atom is very stable.

SMP-45 has excellent capabilities of resisting to saponifiability, aging, hydrolysis, corrosion, acid, alkali and salt solution and good compatibility with other resins.

SMP-45 has good pigment wettability, excellent adhesion on plastic film, and good heat stability, can be used for air drying and physical methods of drying paint. It is widely used in composite inks.

Solubility: SMP-45 is well soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, ester, ketone.

Compatibility: SMP-45 is miscible with or partly miscible with vinyl chloride copolymer, polyacrylic ester, unsaturated polyester resins, aldehyde resins, petroleum resin, natural resins, alkyd resins modified by oil and fatty acids, drying oil, tars, and bitumen, etc.

 

Application: SMP-45 is well used as basic resins in anticorrosion paint (steel structure, container, marine, underwater structure, machinery and automobile engineering, transport equipment & industrial paint) and it is also well-known in composite inks.
